The Intolerant message of Swami Vivekananda

This was posted by a critic of Swami Vivekananda, showing the seemingly intolerance in these line. I really appreciate the passion of this person in searching these and quoting these out of context which seem very logical to his "followers". He write to the post "Message to Indian converts - if you don't like the Hindu culture of this country, why don't you go away?" The message is not as stated by the person but even in this context the message is not altogether wrong. Here I would like to quote Bobby Jindal an Indo- American Governor whos says, "I am explicitly saying that it is completely reasonable for nations to discriminate between allowing people into their country who want to embrace their culture, or allowing people into their country who want to destroy their culture, or establish a separate culture within," The message is very clear that there is a reasonable difference between those who want to accept a culture and those who want to destroy you culture and it is very logical as well. If we are allowing any foreign culture to come and spread. It cannot be at the cost of our own destruction.

This is in response to the acts of christian missionary opposing the Shiva Worship and Hindu Culture by imposing Jesus as only True savior. We can clearly see the condition which has been mentioned in the statement  "If you can't bear them" If any society is so much non-tolerant why they should live here? It is not that Christians are very tolerant. We have so many examples of fanaticism of Christians as well. At the time of swami ji every christian used to believe that there is only one saviour Jesus christ, It was swami ji's influence on Europian people that they started to think and say that there are other true way to god also. Since the main motive of christian missionary was conversion there should not be any doubt they may have said something wrong about the great Indian culture as well.

Again I am not against those who oppose evil customs but those who want to destroy the Indian Culture in a panned manner. We can see such examples in our neighborhood as well.

I think I have answered the man, If you have any question or any thing to share please let me Know through your comments.
